Error Message

Every 60 seconds my computer displays an error code:
APP_VERO_ 63743 (shown on blue top line). In the body of
the message it says: "Connection timed out (Error
#10060). I have no idea where to look for the problem.
Does anyone know what may be causing this and how to
correct it. I am running XP Pro. I have a laptop and
desktop on the network. I am using a hub and router for
networking.

Be sure your antivirus software is up to date and run a virus scan.

Download, install and run Ad Aware:
www.lavasoftusa.com

Make sure you firewall isn't blocking something that might be the source of
this issue.

Check the Event Log. Open Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, open
Event Viewer, look for errors that correspond to when this happens, double
click the error, the information contained within might give an indication
of the source of the issue.

You may have to do some or all of the above from Safe Mode. Boot the system
start tapping F8, when the menu appears, select Safe Mode and press enter.

If this is a recent issue, when you get to Safe Mode, you are usually
offered the opportunity to go to System Restore, do so and try to take your
system back to a time prior to when this began.
