Can anyone help? I am getting the following meassage
after I turn on my PC.

Windows cannot find 'copy'. Make susre you typed the
name correctly, and then try again. To search foa file,
click the Start button, and then click Search.

I have the same message. Any fixes yet? I think it was
part of a XP update that I installed.

Hello,

Here's some thoughts:

Once you're in Windows click "Start" and then "Run", type MSCONFIG, and hit
Enter. This will open up the MSConfig application. Look at the Startup
tab. That lists everything that will be starting up by default. Uncheck
everything in that list and reboot. Does the error go away? If so then
it's one of those programs, and you can use MSConfig to narrow it down and
figure out what's causing it.

I also see some information that might indicate this is a virus. Are you
having any other issues once you're in Windows? Here's one article:

311446 You Cannot Start Programs (.exe Files) When Your Computer Is Infected
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=311446

Other information I have talks about the Navidad or W32.blebla.b.worm, or
the Swen.a worm. Information on the Swen worm is at
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/[email protected]
I would start with the MSConfig and see what happens with that, and then
possibly start looking at the virus possibility.

Thanks!

Hi

I had the same type of errors. I have disabled all the
options in the start up and the problem has vanished.
So according to your message, it is due to a program
missing. How can I use msconfig to narrow it down.

Thank you for you help

regards
