Error Message

I get the following error message on shutdown. Can you please advise the
reason and how I can rectify the situation. Thanks for your help

Your hard drive has some problem. Maybe a bad cable, or some disk
corruption. Rightclick the drive icon in Explorer, and then properties,
Tools tab, to try the "Error Checking"
