Just installed Outlook 2007 with several email accounts. Everything was fine
for a few days - but today we are receiving an error message when receiving
from a verizon acccount Error oX800CCC1A - Your connection does not support
the encryption type you have specified. Try changing the encryption method.
What should the encryption method be? We are running WinXP, Office/Outlook
2007.

Thanks!

We don't know - check with Verizon as most ISPs will list the mail account settings prominently in their Help pages.

Verizon helped set the account up - I noticed that there are other similar
postings about Outlook 2007 with similar error numbers. When you say "we
don't know..." does that mean that Microsoft can't help us at all?
Thanks!

Nobody is from Microsoft here. This and other newsgroups are all peer to peer people who post and try to help. As Milly said call Verizon and ask them about your issue. If it was working before as it is set now the issue is most probably on their end.
