According to KC Online, both the POP and SMTP servers are named
mail.kconline.com, see http://support.kconline.com/faq.php .

When you get that error message, are you using KC Online for
Internet connectivity?

What do you have for the POP3 and SMTP server settings?

Are you using Authenication and if so is the username and password the same
for your regualr POP3 server password and username? (Please don't post
those).

550 Relay means you are trying to send e-mail via an SMTP (send) server that
is NOT the smtp server of the ISP in which you are connected. They routinely
block this as an anti-spam measure. Been going on for yetas now.

Along with the Authenication, are you required to authenicated username and
password to allow sending? I don't go by many web pages for ISP support
because I've seen them not keep up to date.

If you have the propert POP and SMTP server names AND the right username and
password BUT NOT the right username and password in the Authenication, you
can get the same 550 Relay.

Tools | Accounts | Server
What is the POP3 and SMTP sever names you have for the account in question?

Below that is a check box that reads "My server requires authenication". Is
there a check in the box?
Press the Settings button.

Is the Username the same as the username for the account? Password you can't
readily seee but set it to the correct one.

Did you change the outgoing mail server name from smpt.kconline.com
to mail.kconline.com?

The "Relaying denied" error almost always means you tried to use
your ISP's outgoing mail server while connected to some other network.
Is your PC a laptop that you move around to different locations?
In fact, this last post shows you connecting from NorthCC.net, a
wireless ISP, which is certainly not the same as kconline.

I don't know how to say this any simpler.
KConline will not let you use their SMTP server while you
are connected to some other Internet service.
If you want to be able to use random wireless hotspots for
connectivity, the only way around this problem is for you to do
your sending chores with a Gmail account.
