I am receiving this error message:

" Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The file C:\Documents and
Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Outlook\outlook.ost cannot be
accessed. You must connect to your Microsoft Exchange Server computer at
least once before you can use your offline folder file."

When I click OK I am kicked out of outlook and am unable to configue anything!

I should be able to at least open the program!

Are there any fixes or work arounds for this problem?

Thanks,
dmain

Are you using an Outlook that belonged to someone else at one time? Do you
connect to an Exchange server? What version of Outlook?

I am connecting to an excange server using Outlook 2003. I am playing in an
exercise and I did change the user account from one account name to another
account name. I am able to ping the exchange server but am unable to connect
to it.

Any suggestions?

'Control Panel|Mail|E-mail Accounts|View or Change existing E-mail
accounts|Next', highlight the Exchange Server account, click "Change",
correct the User Name, and click the "Check Names" button. If the name
underlines, you should be OK again.
