Error message

I am trying to create a report and I keep getting the following error" The
wizard is unable to preview your report, possibly because another user has a
source table open in exclusive mode. Your report will be opened in design
view" can you please tell me why I am getting this error.

I tried rebooting my system and I was still getting the error message so I
took the file off the network and put it on my local drive and now I am
getting the following error "Type mismatch in expression" do you know why
this is?

It depends what you are doing at the time of the error. Type mismatch
usually means you are comparing two different kinds of fields. Perhaps you
are searching for text without the quotes, or you are trying to match a
number field to a text field.
