I used to have a Trust FlatScan 19200 scanner installed
on my XP Pro system. I uninstalled the device six months
ago and fitted a completely new scanner. I uninstalled
the Trust software at the same time. Since the change I
get the following error message in the System section of
Event Viewer (error; date; time; Service Control Manager;
7000) and the description is "The Trust Flat Scan 19200
service failed to start due to the following error:System
cannot find the file specified."
How can I stop this error occurring? I have searched the
registry for reference to this now non existent device
and nothing shows up.
Thanks to anyone who can assist.

There is still an area calling for The Trust Flat Scan to start. It is either
in start up or in the registry. Post back if you cannot find.

Tim;
Your error message says The Trust Flat Scan 19200 service. So,
try this:
Start | Run | Type: services.msc | OK
Scroll down to: Trust Flat Scan 19200 | Double click it | General tab |
Under Startup type: | Set it to disabled | Apply | OK | Close Services
