Problem:
Windows 2000 Server locks up about 2 to 3 times a week @
night for the past 4 weeks and it gives the following
error message.

Error Message:

Stop 0x00000001 (0x00000002, 0x00000006, 0x00000000,
0xF6431951)
Drive_IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal

Address F6431951 base at F64300000, Date Stamp 3bdd9014 -
perc2.sys

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is
properly installed.

If problems continue disable or remove installed hardware
or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching
or shadowing. Check hard drive to make sure it is
properly configured or terminated.

Have you installed any new hardware or updated any drivers since this
started happening? The error message you've outlined is from the (in)famous
"Blue Screen of Death" - only bad hardware or buggy drivers can cause this.

You also might want to check out MS KB article Q192463, and try using
DriverVerifier, also free from Microsoft.
