I am not sure how this started, but for the past couple of weeks, whenever I
start Internet Explorer 8, I get a message that says: "A program on your
computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for Internet
Explorer. Internet Explorer has reset tis setting to your original search
provider, Live Search (search.live.com). Internet Explorer will now open
Search Settings, where you cna changethis setting or install more search
providers." I then press OK, and I see a table containing Google and Live
Search. It shows Live Search as default. I do nothing but press Close, and
go on with my work. How can I stop this message from popping up?
Thanks!!!!!!!!

Yes, I realiize this. I could not find a group anywhere for IE8, so I did
not know where else to post it. Vincenzo Di Russo was nice enough to show me
where the correct place to post it was. Have a good day.

[This sure looks like an IE6 newsgroup to me]

Please try the IE8 group.
The recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
