When sending a message to a new Dist Group I'ver just set up, the email sits
in the Outbox and won't send out. On Send/Receive, I get the following error
message:-

Task 'mail.golfholidayscornwall.co.uk - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F)
: 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues,
contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The
server responded: 421 Error: too many errors'

Is it that the Dist Group is too large?

That is a possibility. Try recreating the distribution group or send it it
to a smaller amount of people.

Thanks for your response Roady.
I've tried it again today just to a list of people typed into the BCC box,
so not using a DL. I also reduced the number of addresses from approx 300 to
70 people.
However I'm getting the same problem, which is the 421 error message below
plus a 501 error as well.
Any thoughts?

The 421 notification is a "service not available" notification from the
server. Usually you'll get this notification when the server is about to be
restarted and is currently not accepting any new messages.

The 501 error is a syntax error. Which means something went wrong in the
protocol talking to the server.

Do you have a virus scanner installed which integrates itself with Outlook?
Uninstall this integration part of your virus scanner and try again; you'd
still be sufficiently protected by your on-access scanner part of the virus
scanner. For more details see;
