Error message when making a new appointment

I have Outlook 2000 Professional. Everything has been
working fine until a few weeks ago when I went to save an
appointment and it said that an unknown error had
occured. There was no error number. I had a guy
from "IT" come and look at it and he said that he
reinstalled the program, but it still isn't working and
everytime this guy touches my computer, Excel stops
working. I want to fix this myself. Any ideas?

Through trial and error, I figured out that my Deleted
Items folder was too full. I was getting all kinds of
strange error messages. When I emptied the folder,
everything started working just fine. Hope this helps
someone else out there.
