Windows has experienced a difficulty or something and needs to shutdown then
shuts windows down within ten seconds of being on the internet.....on xp
How do I stop this? I've sent messages for the errors but its really
starting to get annoying

You need to provide the exact verbiage of the error notice. Are you saying
that the system is shut off or that internet explorer is closed when the
message appears?

Have a look in the System and Application logs in Event Viewer for
Errors and Warnings and post copies here. Don't post any more than 48
hours ago.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.

Ron: "verbiage"... Very good. Impressive!

I've won a few free lunches on that one. Folks don't bet me very
often on word games anymore...

all it says is......
windows internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Sorry for the inconvenience. It just shuts down the web browser. I updated
the internet last night and it still reboots now instead of closing it

sorry I was in a hurry I can see the code message sometimes when it pops up
to but its a foreign language to me.
appiexplore.exe offset: 03621e9d

code:0xc0000005 Flags:0x000000
c/Docume/.....then location I think to a temp folder appcompat.txt if this
helps at all
