On the computers in our library(using 98 and NT), I get an error message on
the compose page. error generaly reads, expected identifier and says that
problems with this web page might prevent it from functioning properly. Is
this a yahoo problem or an internet Expolyer problem. All the computers(5)
are giving the same error message. Help !!!

Hi Barb,

MS no longer support win98 or NT, but that is beside the point here
(although you may want to consider an upgrade for your network in the near
future).

The error message that you describe pertains to ActiveX controls which are
being blocked on the Yahoo mail page. There is a security setting for the
Internet Zone to allow or disallow ActiveX controls (Tools>Internet
Options - Security tab - Internet Zone). The default setting for the
Internet Zone is Medium which allows ActiveX content. To correct your
problem you will need to contact your system administrator for your NT
network as changes will have to be made by them to the logon scripts for the
Win98 terminals. You could try resetting the security settings on each of
the win98 terminals, but I suspect that you will not have access, or nor
will the changes hold as they will be over-written each time the terminals
are re-booted.

Your system administrator or your computer supplier should know what to do.
Just tell them that you want to allow ActiveX content on web pages.

I trust that this has been of help.
