Error message when I try and update to Windows Media Player 11.0

I am so confused,
I can't do the regular sync to my Mp3 drive without an error message
saying "server threw and exception" I can't get songs to sync to my Mp3
because of this.

Next, I try to upgrade to the 11.0 media player because I currently have 10.0
thought maybe that would help, while trying to update it stops and says
error message encountered 80070002. So I can't upgrade I am STUCK
it sucks, anybody could help me please, there is no number to call for tech
support.
just a nice guy in MICHIGAN with no music and no luck on the computer
