Hi all,
Whenever I open a file on my computer I get a message that says the following:
"C:\...\Check Out Report.doc is being used by KINGFISHER. Do you want to
make a copy?
Yes No"
If I click No then that's the end of it. If I click Yes I get:
"Word cannot open the document.
Try one or more of the following:
* On the File menu, click Open to open the document.
* Make sure the document has a .doc extension.
(C:\...\STATIONERY\CHECK OUT REPORT.DOC)"
But still get the open file anyway as if nothing had happened. How do I get
rid of this?
I ask this because, although I've had the problem since I've had this
computer and it's not been anything other than a mild annoyance, I run a
business which involves me sending templates to people and I need to
password-protect these files. On my previous computer, which didn't have the
above message come up that wasn't a problem, but on this one I can't do it
without the computer getting hopelessly confused.
So. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Hayley
