Hi helper,

I am an AOL subscriber. When I try to open my own Int. Expl, a box pops up
stating: " RUNTIME ERROR (c:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\Explore.exe
Application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way. Pls contact the applications support team for
more info."

In the Internet Connection Wizard file (under MS Visual C+++ Runtime
Library) a box pops up saying : 'Internet signup file is corrupt . Signup
aborted."

Can someone help me on this? Many thanks.

I have a similar problem with Runtime errors.
I open IE and I get a runtime Error visual Library C++
I could not get a browser to work so I downloaded Netscape from another
machine loaded it in my laptop and went to the MS site to download a new
copy of IE only I need IE to download a copy. I somehow burned a copy on a
disk and attempted to install it on another machine when it said "It cannot
install an earlier version than the one installed". I uninstalled SP2 to SP1
tried to install IE and yet it still doesn't work. I contacted MS support
and since this XP version was pre installed on my laptop, they cannot help
me with the problem. Any ideas but at this point, if it doesn't work, then
Netscape will be my browser from now on.

Did you try uninstalling the Google toolbar?
