Error message states This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in
effect on this computer. Searched Microsoft and was referred to KB 270037,
which did't help one bit. Currently using XP Pro SP2. Reset IE 7 to no
avail. Changed and added another user with admin rights, second user works
fine but, I still have problem with initial user account that also has admin
privledges. Desktop came with XP Pro and Office Pro pre loaded. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

If the problem is not there with a new account, why fight it? Copy the data
and settings from the new account to the old, if things work ok, delete the
old account.

And if you really want the old account name, then create a new account with
that name, if the problem is not there, copy the settings from the second
account to the third and test. Still a go, then delete the second account.

Rock, thanks for the feedback, but, I would like to fix the problem if
possible before copying giga files back and forth.

I understand but sometimes you can spend way more time troubleshooting than
taking the other wrote. Besides why would you have to copy GB's of data?
It's just the data stored in the profile like email, favorites, etc. It
shouldn't be that much.
