Sorry for the repeat question but I still have not been able to solve this
problem. I have MS Office Prof. 2003 running on XP. I have deleted the
program and re-installed it and then run fix and repair. That came out ok.
Then I deleted all the temp files located under local settings as well as
other folders that said temp. I can record one slide and sometimes 3 or 4 in
a row then an error message pops up saying PPT can't access.....Wav because
the file or folder is read-only. I checked the properties and the read only
box is grey and not checked. Help please!

This is happening when you try to record narrations, is that correct?

First, make sure you've got lots of spare space on the hard drive.

Next, try this: Slide Show, Record Narration. In the resulting dialog box, put
a check next to Link, then click Browse to choose a folder you *know* you can
save and open files from. Then record your narration or at least a good chunk
of it. See how far you get.

Thank you Steve, I have over 500 slides recorded and only a few will not
record. I have imbeded the voice because it is easer to send to my boss and
have him check out my work. I will try linking. Thank you.

Note: I'm only suggesting that option as a test, so don't go and redo everything just
yet, 'kay?

Thank you Steve (and others) I found the problem! :) Spy Doctor was in
conflict with PPT when I deleted this program then I could record with no
problem in PPT again.
Thank you all for all your help!!
