Hello to all -
Im running Windows XP Pro - SP2 on a Dell Laptop.
After my computer is stationary for about 20 minutes or so, an error
message appears on a blue screen telling me to either disable my anti virus
software or uninstall any recently installed drivers, to make sure that any
new hardware of software is properly installed. It also says to run CHKDSK
/F at restart. When I attempt to do CHKDSK /F at the CMD prompt, it tells
me that the action cannot be performed because another program is currently
using the volume label. I dont know how to translate this information.
What is happening to my hard drive as a result? What is causing this to
happen?
Someone...anyone...PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks in advance.
