We have a Win2k forest with one root domain and two child domains. One day
this just started happening. When I open ADUC, then right click on domain,
properties, then Group Policy, Edit. I get the following error message
dialog box is "Administrative Templates":
The following entry in the [strings] section is too long and has been
truncated.
If you enable any policies for the security page, it is strongly recommended
that you also configure policy to disable the security page from being
presented in the UI to prevent users from believing that they can change
their security settings. \n\n\You can disable the security page using the
policy located at Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet
Explorer\Internet Co
then a series of similiar messages appear for different group policy
component. I don't think the administrative template for the default domain
group policy has been altered. Such messages do not display when I use GPMC
on a Windows 2003 server.
