An error message pops up at startup or when I manually
run the program saying that it cannot find a certain
drive. This is familiar with other software because the
boot drive on my computer is Drive I:\ not C:\ . This is
the result of choices made by Microsoft on how to the
boot disk works. I cannot just change the boot drive
designation to Drive C:\ . Some programs will not work
at all on Drive I:\ at this point and will freeze up the
system. The Anti-spy program makes me hit the cancel
button. It seems to me that this should not be required.
Many other programs including anti-spy programs run well
on Win XP. What is the reason for this and cannot make a
change in the registry to make it ignore the lack of
drive C:\ bootup.
