Pop up error screen at startup states:
ntvdm.exe - No Disk
x there is no disk in the drive please insert disk into
drive \Device\Harddisk1\DRI
Can cancel by clicking close but would like to stop the
error message appearing as does not seem to interfere
with my system. can find the file name in device manager
but to end the string warns that that could make the
system unstable. if you can help it would be appreciated
thanks Brian.

You might have the wrong boot order in your bios. It sounds like you have
first boot set to something other than the drive you want to boot from.
