I am getting an error message when I try to load Express
6. "Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.DLL
could be be loaded"

Does anyone know what this means?

Thanks

Yesterday, I downloaded/installed the IE6 Update as
directed from MS site and now I can't open OE and I also
get a message that states: "Can't open OE because MSOE.DLL
cannot be loaded." Everything was fine before I updated.
None of my shortcuts work, nor does clicking on the icon
in the OE folder work. I've done everything I can think
of, except using my computer recovery CD to reinstall the
original version of OE that came with my PC. I don't want
to do this because I run the risk of erasing some files on
my harddisk, eventhough I can choose not to reformat it.
Help!!!

I am experiencing the same problems. I too have recently
upgraded from 98 to XP and also have IE6/OE6 loaded. I
don't usually use OE6 as I have the Office 2000
Professional installed and run Outlook 2000 almost
continuosly for Calendar, Contacts, and E-mail
management. I have just changed providers and deleted all
of the previous accounts, opened the new accounts and now
can not send e-mail out but can recieve with no problem.
I expect this can be attributed the fact that after
upgrading my system OE6 would not run. I get error
messages (0x800ccc0e - 0x800ccc60) when I try to send
messages with Outlook 2000 through POP3 and error
messages (0x8007000e,3 and the MSOE.Dll missing or
unavailable) when I try to run OE6. This has become very
annoying and bothersome, as I use POP3 email for business
as well as personal use. I am beginning to regret my XP
ugrade. Any ideas???
