error message: nt authority\system

HELP!

I am having trouble with my computer running windows Xp
professional, and another running XP Home edition.


After I start my computer, I get an error message telling
me to save my information because windows needs to shut
down. the problem seems to coming form the "NT
Authority\system"

Any suggestions?

Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install all
critical security updates.
Also install and use a personal firewall on your Internet
connection.
