Error message: interface has too many methods to fire events from

Please help with the following error message in Windows Movie Maker: "My
Videos\1996-12to1997-4.mpg could not be imported. An interface has too many
methods to fire events from".

The file in question was created in Sonic My DVD. The source was 8mm video
tape.

My OS is Windows XP WMM
