After downloading an Excel file received as an attachment
with an email, I attempted to attach and forward that
Excel file to a new email address. Before sending the
email with attachment, I attempted to open it for one
final review. At that time I was unable to open the Excel
file or even the Excel program.
The error message that I received was: "Excel caused a
general protection fault in module USER.EXEC at
0003:00003d32. I have removed the Excel program and tried
to reload Excel from the orignial CD. The same error
message comes up with the inablity to open either an Excel
file or the program itself. I remvoed the Office package
and reloaded it from the orginal CD's. This resulted in
the same error message. All the other Office professional
programs work well ... only Excel will not open.
Any ideas about how to correct the error/
