Hi I am an amatuer at programming with frontpage but have managed to build
up quite a large site without problem.
Until now that is.
When i try to pulish the site after some changes I get the following error
message
Server Error: The folder that would hold URL `pages/port
wynnstay/_overlay/frwhr.htm_nav-ng-trains-new010_vbtn.gif' does not exist on
the server
I only get the option to cancel the upload
My questions are: -
1) What does the above mean in English as opposed to techno babble?
2) How do I fix it?
I know what did. Having been told by some proffessional web designer that
spaces in web addresses were a NO NO I removed them. In the above error
message the bit with port wynnstay in has been changed to port_wynnstay.
I understand most of the message ie that it can't find that address on the
server. What i don't follow is why its even looking for it as the folder
port wynnstay no longer exists on either the local copy or on the server
copy that i can see having been changed to have the underscore instead of
the space.
Am i reading the message correctly? It says to me that it is trying to
publish that gif file from my local coy to the server and it can't, but then
I can't find that file on the local copy
Help, please
