error message from IE

I have been getting a lot of error messages
lately, "error" internet explorer has encountered a
problem and needs to shut down..""

what gives I see alot of people have the same thing
happening..is it a new virus attacking IE??

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
