GETTING THIS MESSAGE WHEN WINDOWS COMES ON LINE
C:\SYSTEM32\NSMSS.EXE WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
HOW CAN I REPAIR IT OR REMOVE IT ?

Several points here:

1. Please don't yell at us by typing in upper case.

2. C:\SYSTEM32\NSMSS.EXE is not a message, but a file name that was
presumably included in the message. Whenever you describe a problem
here in the newsgroups, be sure to provide us with the exact verbatim
text of any messages you receive.

3. C:\SYSTEM32\NSMSS.EXE is not a Windows file, so you are very likely
infected with a virus or spyware.

4. What anti-virus and anti-spyware software do you run, and do you
keep them up to date?

Take a look here:
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/nsmss-exe-t171765.html
They claim to have resolved the issue - don't know, didn't read it all.

It is apparently an infection, FWIW. As someone else mentioned, it's
definitely not a windows file.

Update and run your Antivirus software and then all of you anti-spyware
programs and see if they can fix it.

Your issue is a prime example of why good registry cleaners are needed.
Don't listen to the others who say registry cleaners are "snake oil". To fix
your issue automatically, download CCleaner from here
http://www.ccleaner.com/ install it and when you run it select the registry
icon on the left to clean your registry. Let it fix all but choose to backup
when prompted. Your problem should then be fixed.
