Gerry's suggestion of going to
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx
was just what the Dr. ordered. Today was the first time I have ever been to this site, now I'm a member.

Two questions
1. I keep getting a message that says ,"Error loading: C:\Progra
Files\Common Files\Paretologic\UU2.dll specified mode nodule could not b
found. Can anyone tell me what this means and if there is a way to fix i
please
2. I just installed an external disk (WD 320GB Passport Essential USB 2.
Portable disk) and when I loaded it onto my computer and go to the externa
disk, there are mostly files that begin with a number and then end with dml
such as 91.dml. Can someone tell me what these files are and how do
acces
them (if I need to access them). Also, whenever I make a new graphic,
automatically save it in the external drive, but then when I go to retriev
it in my PSP X2, I cannot find it
Would definitely appreciate any help/explanation of these questions
Thanks

PaulaYou most likely have installed and uninstalled this software.
Paul
You most likely have installed and uninstalled this software. Whe
removing the startup item has not been rmoved but UU2.dll has. You ca
use Autoruns to locate and remove the startup item
http://www.paretologic.com
To identify what loads when you boot use Autoruns (freeware fro
Microsoft)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.msp
With Autoruns you can uncheck an item, which disables it fro
starting,or you can right click an item and then delete it. If yo
uncheck you can recheck to re-enable the item. It is a much safe
approach than editing the Registry and better than using msconfig.
Another useful feature of the programme is that you can right click a
item and select Search Online to get information about the ite
selected
In Window Explorer right click on a dml file and select properties. Yo
should get clues as to the source. Otherwise the next link may help
http://filext.com/file-extension/dm

Re: Error message and unknown file
Gerry,
I ran this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx
and I have absolutely no way of making heads or tails out of the information
it gave me - I simply do not know what to do with it at this point.
Also when I ran this:
http://www.paretologic.com/
it showed that I still had rootkit in one of my temporary files but the site
wanted payment in order to clean it and I simply do not have any money left to
pay for anymore protection for my computer (I have $10 to last me the rest of
the momth).
I will try to run mcro trend again and see if it picks it up; if it does not
I do not know what to do.
Thanks,

PaulaOne of the columns in Autoruns is Image Path.

One of the columns in Autoruns is Image Path. Selecting the "Everything"
tab scan down the Image Path column and you should find "C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Paretologic\UU2.dll". Disable the item and restart
the computer. It should stop the error. However, whenever making changes
you should monitor the system for a day or so to make sure there are no
adverse affects. If there were you can easily reverse the change.
