I started getting the following error message when I manually exit Internet
Explorer:
Iexplore.exe – Application error
The instruction at “0x629133b1†referenced memory at “0x6291333b1â€. The
memory could not be “readâ€.
Click on OK to terminate the program.
When I click on OK, the message disappears and the computer seems to
function normally. Occasionally, clicking on OK brings up the Microsoft Error
Reporting box. If I click “Send Error Report†the error reporting process
starts, and then the computer freezes.
I am running Windows XP Home on an hp Pavilion 526x desktop. Internet
Explorer is Version: 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519.
Is there a way to fix this situation so that I don’t get the error message?
