error message 756

when i leave my internet connected for downloading and i
come back to it i have error message 756 come up? can
anyone help?
 
DUNS ERROR 756
756 - This connection is already being dialed.

This error indicates more than one simultaneous request
to make a dial-up networking connection has been made.

This can occur if you have one or more programs set up to
automatically make a connection to the Internet. Check
the settings for your e-mail, browser and other
applications that access the Internet, disabling
automatic connection as appropriate.
