Error Message - 0x80240022

Running w2k. loaded and installed latest version WD. Getting following error
message when attempting to update definitions file: "Windows Defender was
unable to complete the the update: 0x80240022. The wrong diskette is in the
drive. Insert %2 (Volume Serial Number %3) into drive %1." what's up?

answers. Sorry I couldn't help

I'm having the same probem. Tried unstalling, reinstalling, was unable to
successfully install.
 
OK, I'll give it a try Philo;

Start > Run > type "cmd" without quotes > OK (to open a command prompt
window)

Then copy and paste into the command prompt:

cd C:\program files\windows defender\ (or to wherever your WD is
installed)

Then copy and paste into the command prompt:

mpcmdrun.exe -RemoveDefinitions -All

Close the command prompt window.

Then click on this link and run to install the last full definition and
engine version:

If everything worked so far, now try an update from Help/About to get to
the latest delta definition version: Signature v.1.14.1642.8
