I'm recieving the error message and can't find a fix in
the knowledge base section of your website. Can you tell
me how to fix the error, please.

Not without details. What version, what mode (if applicable), what OS, what
are you trying to do when this happens, what's the "full and complete" error
message. I mean, come on. We're not psychic.
 
This is a problem with your ISP's mail server - it is reporting that there
are more messages in your mailbox than are actually there, and when Outlook
tries to retrieve the non-existent messages it generates an error. Contact
your ISP and have them look into the problem.
 
I have been getting that same error. My ISP helpdesk person insists this is
an Outlook problem and tells me to contact Microsoft!!!
I got this error on a different account recently and the only fix was to
delete the mailbox file on the server and re-create the account, then the
error went away.

Any insight I can give my ISP as to the way to troubleshoot/repair this
problem? It has happened on two of my accounts recently.

Yes, you are right. In reviewing my log, that's exactly what has happened.
I have provided these details to my ISP... Thanks.
