Error message - (0x800423F3)

When l try to do a System Restore, l keep getting the error message " The
writer experienced a transient error if the backup process is retried, the
error may not reoccur. (0x800423F3). What does it mean in laymans terms, and
what can l do about it ? I have Vista Home Premium. Thanks in advance
