Hello,
Can anyone help me with this problem. My head is spinning!
I've been going crazy trying to fix an error with my
internet explorer. I originally had version 5, which was
error-free and downloaded the querky version 6 pack. It
was working fine for a long time but I began having
problems with an error message that origianally said:
"Explorer caused an invalid page fault in Module
MSVCRT.DLL"
I worked on that a while and just decided to reinstall the
program. That didn't help. Now I get a different, more
polite, version of the same problem:
"Microsoft Internet Explorer has experienced a problem and
needs to shut down. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
When I click on the error report details it specifies
ModNum: MSVCRT.DLL
I can't find anything that relates to this problem on the
website. I've found some articles that sound very close,
but when I follow the directions it leads me to a dead
end. The things they ask me to do don't exist on my
computer. The directions nor my detective skills take me
to anything like they describe, so I have no idea what
else to try.
It also may be helpful for you to know that at about the
same time as this problem began, I began having a problem
with a recurrent Trojan horse called Downloaderagent. I've
cleaned my computer many times with two antivirus
programs, but today it came back again. I don't know if
they have anything to do with one another, but if anyone
can help me get my internet explorer working properly, I'd
really appreciate it.
Thanks and take care,
-Mary
