Error logs for Word

I've had a couple of minor crashes in Word. As it crashed, I was given the
message that an error log was being created. But there was no error log in
Event Viewer. Is there another place where Error Logs are stored?

I've looked in both those places and haven't found any text files which
refer to errors in Word or any other Errors. Will the log be a text file,
do you know?

Usually in the location where the executable is or in C:\WINNT

The information was most likely logged by Dr. Watson. By default the drwtsn32.log
file is located in the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\DrWatson

For more information about the Dr. Watson "application error log" search Windows
2000 Help for the words in double-quotes.

Found that file drwtsn32.log
.. Great long incomprehensible thing! Oddly enough, I can't seem to get to
it by using System Information > Dr Watson. Is there a reason for this?

Hi again Evi,

I understand now. The View button allows you to display the log file information for
the error *that you have selected* in the Application Errors list.

BTW, contrary to what many people think Windows 2000 has an excellent Help Facility.
For example, you can get pertinent information about dialog box options by
right-clicking the object and selecting "What's This?" If you do this on the "View"
button in the Dr. Watson for Windows 2000 dialog box you will see that the error must
be selected before it can be displayed.

And of course, you can find more information about how "To get Help in a dialog box"
by searching Windows 2000 Help for the words in double-quotes.
