I have an IBM ThinkPad with Windows 2000. Very often (too
often), the thing locks up when I turn it on. My only
option is to unplug it from all power and start over
again. When I checked the event log, I see this error
message frequently:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Disk
Event Category: None
Event ID: 51
Date: 2/9/2004
Time: 4:52:16 PM
User: N/A
Computer: USER-O0V6CTM9B0
Description:
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0
during a paging operation.
And this one:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Disk
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7
Date: 2/9/2004
Time: 4:49:49 PM
User: N/A
Computer: USER-O0V6CTM9B0
Description:
The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.

I've checked the site here and I can't find anything. I
even resorted to re-loading the original configuration and
files from the mirror of the hard drive. Any ideas on how
I can fix this? Thanx.
