"Error Loading Microsoft AntiSpyware" (Error 103) - What is this?!?!?

a.. Open up control panel and double-click on add/remove programs.
Select Microsoft AntiSpyware
Select "Change"
On the Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard, click next.
On the next screen (Microsoft AntiSpyware Maintenance Wizard) select Update
Microsoft AntiSpyware and click next.
Select Install
Let the product update.
Click Finish.

After validating windows and downloading the setup file,
I installed the program, but I cannot open it...It says:
"Error Loading Microsoft AntiSpyware" (Error 103). It
also says to Please restart Microsoft AntiSpyware again.
What is this?...Any help would be greatly
appreciated...Thank you.

I had the same problem. I'm not running SP2 and wonder if
that plays into it?

Lack of SP2 shouldn't be an issue.

Have you tried downloading the new build--.509

http://www.microsoft.com/spyware

You can just run the install and it will upgrade. Be sure to run it as
administrator on your machine.
