Need Help!!!!! When I try to log on to my Windows XP
machine, I receive the following error messages: " Run-
time Error '91'; Object variable or with block variable
not set" and also " Error loading C:\Windows\system32
\msiefro40.dll. Access denied." Also, can use my disk
defragment tool, or when I open my users account, no
accounts appear. Can someone help?

The file mentioned in the error message doesn't appear to be a file from a
Microsoft program. If it does not belong to a program you've installed,
you'll want to check your system with an up to date antivirus program and
an updated copy of one of the anti-spyware programs such as AdAware.

Below is a handy link to keep in your Favorites. It's the Dll Help Database
maintained by Microsoft. To use this resource: Type in the name of a DLL
and search. The search results will list any Microsoft program that
includes that file and what version of the DLL file each program provides:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/servicedesks/fileversion/dllinfo.asp

As far as I can determine, msiefro40.dll is not a valid Windows XP file (its
not on my system, does not appear in a search at www.google.com or
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=/servicedesks/fileversion/dllinfo.asp&SD=TECH&FR=0).
The error message you're getting can occur if a call is being made to a DLL
that is not registered correctly, or is registered, but is missing.

See www.dougknox.com, Win XP Utilities, Startup Programs Tracker. This
small utility scans your system for startup programs and running processes.
It also allows you to create a log file that can be copied and pasted into a
newsgroup post. The contents of the program window are also copied to the
Windows Clipboard, automatically. As a general rule, its not necessary to
include the list of running Services in a newsgroup reply.
