Andrea

I install a PCI 56K (Conexant) modem on a PC with a
mainboard (Biostart VTB, Pentium 4 2.60/800, DDR400).
It work correctly, but if I try to remove the modem or
uninstall conexant drivers using the automatic
uninstaller, Windows halt displaying a blue screen with
this error.
What it means? What should I do to remove the modem
driver?

Thanks,

Andrea Carli

Turn the pc off Andrea. And open the case.

Check that everything is in properly (especially
ram). And make sure all PCI cards in the slots
properly. See if that fixes it.

Andrea,

This error message is caused by a device driver conflict. Download and
install the latest drivers for all your hardware (audio, video, modem etc)
Also, download and install all updates available for your system board's
chipset. (if you have a VIA chipset, download the latest Hyperion drivers.
If you have an intel chipset, install the latest INF updates)

This should do.If you have not upgraded to XP service pack 1, please do.

Best of luck,

Prasad
