Hi Folks
I have four PCs at home - 3 of which are now proudly running SP1 for Vista,
but the one refuses to install the update.
So I head over to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947366/en-us, as directed
and run all 5 of the resolutions suggested, with no errors anywhere, except
for that pesky SFC tool.
I've been crawling through the posts here and see that I'm not the only one
who has this issue... SFC runs, completes verification and then announces
that there are corrupt files that cannot be repaired.
So I do the findstr thing and pour line-by-painful-line through the
outputted TXT file only to discover that the log contains no errors - not
one. Not even a warning.
Bottom line - no 100% happy SFC, no SP1. Can someone help me with my SFC
woes? (or a workaround that does not involve a re-installation of the OS - I
am so over that already).
Thanks
Jonathan
