error installing outlook 03 on vista

Tried installing outlook 03 on my laptop (vista) from the old desktop (xp).
All I get is: "The operating system is not presently configured to run this
application"?

What do you mean by this? You cannot copy the installation directory from
one computer to the other if that is what you mean. Get you installation CD
and run setup from there.
