Error installing new printer software & Drivers

Tried to install a new printer HP deskjet 5850, after trying 4 times of installing & uninstalling, I call HP. We worked on it for 30 - 45 minutes, then we found out from their Sr. Tech, that it was an issue with XP, that Microsoft does not have a fix or patch for yet

How am I supposed to use this new printer? I have tried both the USB and networking options, but it still says, found new hardware, cannot intall this hardware, problem installing hardware

When I try to send an email to Microsoft, they tell me to contact the maker of the computer being it came installed with it

Doe anyone have an answer? Can anyone help me

the only ones who can solve this for you. Microsoft won't
anything with charging you
