Error in Windows XP

Hi,
I have a small problem that I hope you can help me with.
Whenever I connect to the internet, after some time I get
a windowed message on the screen saying that my computer
would be turned off in a minute because something called
Remote Procedure Call or something has terminated
suddenly. What exactly is this and how do I get around
this problem?

You are infected with the blaster worm:

Here's how to fix it:

1) you can stop the shutdown:

When the countdown sequence begins, do this:

start, run, shutdown -a <enter>

That will halt the shutdown.

2) you are missing a critical security patch which would have prevented the
worm from infecting your machine--install this now:

3) Now that you are patched so that you will no longer be reinfected within
seconds of connecting to the Internet, you need to get the existing
infection cleaned up:

The above patch will remove your existing infection.

And last, but not least: You need to implement a simple 3-step plan, of
which you are missing at least two of the steps--firewall, patch up to date,
virus protection. None of these need cost money except for the Internet
