Error in USER.EXE

I cannot get Iexplore on my daughter's computer to work.
Most of the time I get an error message "Iexplore has caused
an error in USER.EXE. Iexplore will now close." I tried
dowloading Iexplore 6.0 but the problem remains. I do not
know how to remove the current Ixplore. The IBM support
line says to wipe out the harddrive and reinstall Windows
which is not an option. We can connect to the internet
through Netscape.

I also received a very long and particular error message
telling me what module the fault was in (000b:00002759) and
what registers, bytes and stack dump which I can share with
anyone if that is helpful.

Is there anyway to fix this and use Internet Explorer? Thanks.

If not a video issue. It may be caused by some parasites.

Problem Shut down last night and everything was OK. Tried to launch IE6

Cannot launch IE, however, I can launch Outlook Express, which leads me to
think that the problem is only with IE6.
Solved the problem. It was apparently caused by the free popup stopper
supplied by my ISP. Just deleted the popup stopper and everything is up and
running.

Other Parasites have been known to cause this type of errors. Check this
