error in internet explorer

Every time I try to check email at my aol account an error
message comes up that says "Microsoft Internet Explorer
has encountered a problem and needs to close." Then it
closes the window. Any ideas? It just started doing this
about a week ago, before that no problems.
 
AOL News and E-mail Servers Are Not Compatible with Outlook Express
When you try to use Outlook Express to access America Online's news server,
you may receive the following error message:
The host <news server> could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly

If this is not the issue, then click the details button when you get the
error, or look in the .log file and post the exact and complete error
message.
