Error importing Outlook address book

Hello,
I created a db and tried to import the data from my Outlook email address
book (a .pab file). I followed the prompts for the wizard and the data
appeared and I selected the existing db I created to import it into. However
I get an error message:
Heading:Import Exchange/OUtlook Wizard
and the message was:
An error occurred trying to import file "Email Address Book". The file was
not imported.
I am not that experienced with Access, but I tried the above with the db
open and closed as well as with the form open.
The message is quite generic and not too helpful. Any ideas what the problem
could be?

Hi Van,

I never use .pab files so don't know the ins and outs. Suggest you
export from Outlook to a text (CSV) file, and import that into Access.

I did as you suggested and exported via the OUtlook wizard to a CSV file.
Then when I tried to import that file into my Access table, I kept getting an
error message that field "First Name" does not exist in destination file (the
Access table I presume). I've made sure the fields and field types correspond
to each other in each table-even put the same field name but keep getting the
same error. I even deleted the first Auto-num primary key field to re-add
later but no success yet.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

I'd simply link or import the CSV file to a new Access table, and then
use an append query to move the data from that into the existing table.
