Error importing excel data into Outlook

I'm getting an error message ...too many fields... when I attempt to import
contact data from Excel data into outlook . Data is in labeled columns,
maybe 10 or 12 max. Messages happens before field mapper comes up.

I can imagine such a message when adding new custom fields to map to
the fields in the spreadsheet, and passing the 40 field limit. I can't
imagine why you'd get that before the field mapper. Perhaps there's a
feature in v3 that tries to automatically map fields. Is your BCM near
the limit of 40 custom fields?
